FROSTED - THE CHALLENGE
Achieving the desired sparkling look was not easy. It requires a complex process. The stainless steel must be hammered with a diamond-tipped special tool, creating tiny indentations.
The depth and number of indentations influence the optical end result. If the indentations are too shallow or too deep, the optics change and the desired sparkle is lost. Nevertheless, we have taken on this technical challenge. The result not only met our expectations but even exceeded them.
DIAMONDS ON THE DIAL
On the dial of Aramis Frosted, 10 diamonds in an octagonal cut are set. The octagonal cut refers to a special cutting style in which the stone is shaped to create eight edges.
A carefully cut octagonal diamond achieves an exceptionally high brilliance. This is because, in the size range up to a maximum of 0.02 carats, larger facets unfold an optimal effect.
THE MOVEMENT RONDA 5030.D
Inside the Aramis Frosted ticks a Swiss caliber 5030.D from the house of Ronda. Ronda is one of the world's largest manufacturers of high-precision movements and has stood for the highest quality and durability since 1946.
In addition to the chronograph with central stop second, minute counter, and hour counter, the 5030.D offers Add & Split functions, date, and small second. Particularly noteworthy is the exceptionally long standard battery life of 54 months – a value that is unparalleled.
