• 10 ATM (100 m):
  Perfect for active lifestyles. Showering and water sports are no problem. From this class onwards, all our watches feature a screwed crown, providing additional protection.

• 20 ATM (200 m):
  For underwater adventures. These models are suitable for diving at medium depths and offer maximum safety thanks to the screw-down crown.

• 30 ATM (300 m) and more:
  Designed for professional divers. These watches are made to withstand extreme conditions and great depths.

• Splash water is not the same as spring water:
  Sudden pressure peaks – e.g., from a jump into the water – can stress the seals. Please avoid such stress.

• Observe temperature changes:
  High temperature differences, such as between sunlight and cold water, can affect seals.

• Saltwater care:
  Saltwater attacks seals and can cause damage in the long term. We recommend not wearing your LOUIS XVI watch in saltwater. If contact does occur, rinse the watch thoroughly with clear water to avoid deposits and corrosion.

• Handle crowns and pushers safely:
  Ensure that the crown is securely screwed down. Pushers should not be used underwater.

Maintenance – For Continued Reliability

Water resistance is not a permanent feature. To optimally protect your watch, we recommend having the water resistance checked once a year.

This inspection can be carried out by our service team or at a watch specialist shop that has the appropriate testing equipment. The test usually takes only 3-5 minutes and ensures that the seals of your watch are intact and that it continues to meet the highest standards.
