LOUIS XVI watches are tested for water resistance up to 5 bar, which corresponds to the pressure of an assumed water column of 50 meters. This makes them suitable for daily use, such as bathing, showering, or washing hands.

The water resistance of a watch can diminish over time, for example, due to the aging of seals or accidental impacts against one of the components responsible for water resistance, such as the crown, pushers, or watch glass. We recommend having the water resistance of your watch checked once a year.
